| The Annual Pie Run in Riverhead, sponsored by the Pontiac-oakland Club took place on Sunday, November 19th. Many of our club cars met at the LIE Rest Area, between exits #51 and #52, prior to cruising out together to the Dunkin Donuts staging area in Riverhead. Club cars representing our club in attendance were: John Ledwith's 1939 LaSalle, Hal Morch's 1968 Fleetwood Brougham, Ralph Depalma's 1978 Coupe Deville. Steve Krieger's 1989 Allante, Ted Bank's 1982 Sedan Deville, Bob Mugnia's 1970 Deville, Fred Miceli's 1991 Allante, Paul Emmert's 2003 Deville, Artie Koestner's 2005 CTS and Ken Kanner with his non club car. Our group totaled 20- people, including our club members, family and friends. The Pie Run Cruise convey consisted of 35- cars that were represented by our club,The Pontiac-oakland Club, The L.I. GTO Club and a few others.During the Pie Run, we made stops at The Briermeir Farms, The Woodside Apple Orchard and The Martha Clara Vineyards. The women enjoy this pre-Thanksgiving event every year, shopping for the fresh vegetables, apple pies, apple cider and the wine and wine tasting. The guys get to due one more car cruise before the end of the year. After the Pie Run, Our club group enjoyed a late lunch at The Elbow East in Southhold prior to heading home.
