The CLC Lower Hudson Valley Driving Tour took place from June 20th thru
June 23rd and each date starting out from the Best Western Inn, located in
Poughkeepsie. Club members representing our club at this event were, Ken
& Sandi Kanner, Steve & Adrienne Krieger, Artie & Kathy Koestner, Hal &
Dolores Morch, Ken Wiebke and his wife Monika and Maria and I. We had
an enjoyable time.  68 vehicles registered for this event from 14 states and 2
from Canadian provinces. The Driving Tour started on Wednesday, but most
of our group arrived on Thursday afternoon and attended the buffet dinner
by the hotel's pool.

On Friday we had breakfast at the hotel and then visited the
Washington's Headquarters in Newburgh, The Brotherhood Winery,
West Point Military Museum and then went cherry picking at a local
farm. We had dinner at the Hotel's restaurant.
On Saturday, we visited The Vanderbilt Mansion located in Hyde Park, FDR
Homestead and Rhinebeck Aerodome. During our visit to the Aerodome, all cars
from the Driving Tour paraded on the grass runway and past the stands. During this
Driving Tour the Cadillacs & LaSalles traveled to the tour stops in small groups. A
group of 68 cars were just too many to follow each other. The tour ended with a
banquet dinner at the hotel. I thank Dave Rubin, CLC Lower Hudson Valley Region
Director, Jim Petrillo, Region Board Member, Toni Rothman, CLC National Tour
Director, and all the other Lower Hudson Valley members for hosting a well planned
Driving Tour.
Before heading home on Sunday, as invited guests, our group and others
attended a Summer Picnic sponsored by the AACA Club of Hudson Valley.
Thanks AACA, great BBQ and pig roast.
