And this is “Sallie”. I guess everybody who owns a LaSalle has, at
some time, called it “Sallie”. Built March 15, 1940, Sallie is a Series
5219, 4 Door Sedan. Bought new ($1199.85) from Mohawk Valley
Motors in Utica, New York, Sallie lived most of her life in upstate
New York and found her way to Long Island about 15 years ago. I
adopted her in May 2000. All original, she starts and runs strong,
but is in need of a good paint job, new brakes and a fresh interior.
